Yen by Anna Jordan

YEN

by Anna Jordan

One dog, two teenage brothers, and a girl from the flat opposite.
A love story. Of sorts.

Teenage brothers Bobbie and Hench spend their days and nights in mum’s flat in Chelmsley Wood. Home Alone. Streaming porn and playing COD. Mum visits. Occasionally. Then one day Jenny knocks on the door. The boys begin to discover a world far beyond the feral one that they understand and trust. A world full of possibilities and of love, but also one of danger.

Anna Jordan’s Bruntwood Prize winning YEN  is a hard-hitting, yet engaging and incredibly rewarding exploration of a childhood lived without boundaries, and the consequences of being required to survive on your own and grow up before your time.

The action takes place on an estate in Chelmsley wood, Birmingham.
